My Dad was the Advertising Manager for the Wildroot Company here in Buffalo, NY
during the 50′s till the company was sold to Colgate. He created the jingle, “Get Wildroot Cream Oil, Charlie”!! I was a little girl then, and was often taken to Dad’s office for a visit.
The building still stands, but is boarded up.

Dad did cartooning, copy-writing, marketing, TV ads, and wrote jingles.

Wildroot sponsored the TV show, Robin Hood. The star, Richard Greene visited Buffalo
and Wildroot. My sister and I got to meet him for a photo op. Dad also knew the cartoonist, Al Capp. One year we all got Fearless Fosdick masks for Halloween!
